My Z3 has been shutting down automatically. At first I was still able to turn it back on, but then would shut down within 5 min.

Afterwards, it would only be turned on a few seconds while charging. Now it wouldnt even turn on.

I've exposed my Z3 to water (warm) earlier but I am not sure if that is the issue since it still worked after.

Can someone please assist? Thank you

Hi,

Does the phone react if you hold down the ON/OFF + volume up(+) button for 5-10 seconds? If not, I suggest that you charge the phone for 1-2 hours without trying to power on the phone to see if there are any reactions afterwards.

I tried the both the volume up and down with the power button and got no response.

I tried charging it and it will turn on and off for a while but then just stayed off after a while.

What if you remove both the SIM and SD cards?

I tried connecting it to my laptop but it doesn't turn on so PCC cannot detect it.

Charge it for 2 or 3 hours (wall charger) then leave it off > try again with PCC

Unfortunately I'd say it's a,water damage. If your flaps were closed before exposing it in water then you should send the device to sony for a investigation, you probably have faulty seals.
