z2 antenna issues

Hello,

        I bought a z2 one month back. My friends are reporting me that it is very difficult to call me nowadays. I noticed that the reception of my antenna is very poor. The signal bar shows full strength but I am not able to make calls and receive them either. This happens frequently. I am thinking about taking it to the service station soon. Anybody have same problem? Any solutions?

Happened to me to. I just turned off the phone, took out the SIM and cleaned it a bit, put it back, then restarted the phone. Everything was fine after that. 

Not sure if you have an antennae issue

The same happens here and when I put the same sim card in another smartphone the calls are cristall clear. Did you find any solution? I am heading to the sony assistence tomorrow...

Hi, Yes, I am detecting the same issues, friends phones (not Sony ones) show up full antenna and I cannot receive anything.

Any solution?

Signal reception is poor on Z2 when compared to Galaxy S4. I assume that this is sue to the waterproof design.

Hi, 

I have been experiencing the same issues for some time ...(Im from Bangalore, India)...i got the firmwire repair form the service center, got a new 128K sim still it was of no help. At the serive center they said if the problem persists they will take it back and check the anteena next stage mother board....I was very skeptical on getting them to open the device. 

So I did a repair (software through PC compannion) and then setup the phone from scratch once again and this time unchecked the "microphone noise supression" and it seems to be little better than what it was earlier. 

As some of you have already pointed out - the anteena for network (Voice, data & WiFi) are very week with sony (irrespective of waterproffing concept) across various model. I have tried the same sim card on a M8 and iPhone 5S there was no complains. Also the signal streangth in my area is -83 which is considered optimal.

I don' t have signal problems. If nothing helps send it in for repair. Should be with warranty.
