Z1 compact factory reset by itself

Hi guys,

I just had this annoying experience again with my Z1 compact, without any sign it got factory resetted by itself (i put it in my pocket and when I want to check my phone I found the phone in factory reset condition). In total I have four similar issue in the last 1.5 months. I run 4.4 build 757 in my phone.

Today i tried to factory reset my phone, installed fresh software and install again my application (the fourth time),

Is there any quick fix to solve this issue, appreciate your sharing if you have.

Thanks.

Ardia

remove the micro SIM card and check again, it might be a faulty SIM or SD card(s)

if that doesn't work then stop by a Sony Xperia Care center

So far so good, no sign of problem. I realize that during those time i installed mobile security software. Maybe it was related to that installation.

Possibly, it would be worth checking other reviews on the software in question to see if others have faced the same problem.

Bad news, today the phone factory reset by itself again, i didn't install any mobile security software this time,so went back to my cell provider and asked for SIM card replacement, hope the main issue is the faulty SIM card.. Will keep updated

It just happened to me today. The phone was in my purse and hard resetted it by itself.

Did you get a solution?

I dont see what it would be SIMcard related, why would be the memory of the phone itself erased?!

How do I get official support from SONY?

Kind Regards,

Amelie

Hi Amelie,

I changed my Sim card around 2 months ago and so far everything is okay.

You can try to contact any Sony service center in your country, they don't have any Sony service center in the country where i live.
