Xperia Z1 camera issue

Guys,

I am experiencing worst camera. I got this mobile after careful reviewing of all stuffs. From day1 i am not at all satisfied with the camera. They say is 20MP, reality its not. All my pictures are dull and blurred. Is there anyway i can optimize this issue, Please help me guys.

TOday i took two pics, one with my z1 and another one with Samsung Galaxy note 2. Note 2 is just 8MP but takes sharper clearer pics. But pic taken in z1 is not at all sharp. Its looks worse. I've attached those. Kindly review and confirm whether camera is a defective one. Those pics are taken in bright sun light.

Help me to fix this.

I can't see the pictures yet (they have to be approved by a moderator) but which camera settings are you using? is the lens dirty? scratched? do you have anything near the lens (protective case, protective film, fingers, etc)?

Once moderator approves kindly check it. Lens are not scratched. Its clean. No protective cover, nothing.

@ Rajive. Try to take pictures at indoor. WORST. It's hella grainy.

@ Uliwooly, why do you always assume that is the lens scratches or is dirty. It's not the lens has broken, but it's the software/driver issues. Broken firmware.

Yea, Bro. Even picture preview GUI is getting blurred in indoor. How come Sony's camera performance is like this? Hard to believe. Is my lens a defective one? Because i checked out a guy posting some good pictures taken from his mobile.

Because I have multiple Xperias and I can manage to take great pictures or if I'm lazy and use superior auto sometime I get good pictures or sometime I get bad pictures, same as using a point-and-shoot camera, but if you use the physical camera key to focus and then snap the picture you will get better results, but if its an outdoor picture its better to use manual settings, perhaps HDR on

Guys

I also have a Z1 and a Galaxy Note 2; I'll take pictures with both phones tomorrow morning (it's dark here now) and post them here.  And no, at present neither camera lens is dirty or scratched.
