Xperia U boot problem and charge problem

I have a Xperia U which has a charge problem so after backing up the phone attempted to update the phone software.  During the update an error occured and has resulted in the phone not getting past the boot up screen.  It will not respond to holding the power and voume up button. Any ideas?

Charge it for 1 hour,repair with SUS:
