Xperia T doesn't respond

A few days ago I updated to Android 4.3, performed a factory reset and for a few days my Zperia T was running like a charm.

Today however it went out for no apparend reason, it just seemed to die while I was using it (screen faded out) and now it doesn't respond to anything, it has a black screen and the power volume-up combo does produce a vibration but the screen stays black.

Also when I charge it, the led turns on, so it really seems like a software issue.

I tried to connect it to my Macbook with Sony Bridge for Mac and it seems to recognize it, I can scroll trough the folders etc. but when I try a repair it throws an error at me..

I tried to find some info over the internet, but didn't really found any solutions..

I did came across this forum, so I thought maybe someone can help me a bit here Slightly_smiling_Face

To my suprise this morning the alarm went off, so I guess the phone was still on, still no screen though, still black.

So my guess is that the screen broke down, I do find it weird, I didn't drop it or anything and the timing after the update is a bit weird.

So if anyone has a clue what the problem might be, your help is more then welcome.

Hi Wimkees,

Since you get an error in Bridge for Mac, could you please send me the error logs so we can investigate them further?

I am not sure the repair would fix the problems you are mentioning though, but it might be worth a try.

Here’s how to get error logs from Sony Bridge for Mac:
1. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the "Phone" menu. Select "Clear logs" to remove all old logs and get a clean start
2. Reproduce the problem you're having, whether it's connecting the phone, importing photos, doing backup...
3. In BfM, hold the "alt" key down while selecting the ”Xperia” menu. Select "Export logs"
4. On the computers desktop there should now be a file named "SonyBridgeForMacLogs_[date].zip
5. PM that file to me or post the contents here

Best Regards,

David

Sorry for the late response and thnx for the help,

I tried to connect it again with bridge for mac, but for some reason it didn't connect anymore, so I couldn't get a export of the logs.

I decided to sent it to a repair centre, I thought it was beyond my possibileties to repair it myself (think it is a hardware problem).

Again thnx for the help and hope it is fixed soon Slightly_smiling_Face

Hi Anchor,

It sounds like a phone problem, not a Bridge problem. Unfortunately, I can't help you with that. I suggest that you contact a Sony Service center.

I'm sorry, but I can't help you anymore as I don't know what is causing your problem. If you have any problems with Bridge in the future, don't hesitate to contact me!

Best Regards,

David
