Hi, This is not a complaint but a request about the illumination bar at the bottom of Xperia SP.

One of the updates Sony had done earlier was where in the illumination bar keeps on all the time throughout the call even when the screen light is off....while using handsfree, earpiece or even speaker phone.

We had a choice to simply off the light by pressing the power button during the call in case the continous light annoys few users.

But after the latest update this feature is disabled. The illumination bar just goes aff as soon as the display is off.

I really request you guys to get the earlier option back ... coz it was really helpful. Many times we are multitasking and at times we miss the hello from the other end .. but this led used to always show when a call gets connected.

Most importantly ... when i use the speakerphone feature while am working i know for sure when the call is ended or if the line is still active.

I mean this feature really helped, why would Sony want to remove such a wonderful feature. Also this feature has an option to off the led in case the light annoys you. ( it used to annoy me when i used to talk to my boyfriend under the bedsheets and my mom used to catch me..:smileytongue: but then the power off button feature was to the rescue ...

Please get this feature back. after all the Illumination Bar is the best Highlight of this phone which no other phone can flaunt..:smileysmileywink:

Check the playstore, there are apps that will grant you control on the illumination bar

I just love to see the red led light on during my call and i just can do it:

i just can find that i need to disable proximity sensor at my xperia sp with the app named: Hardware disabler

but you have to root your xperia sp at first and then install this app and and you have to select the second option from the top at this app (the second one is for proximity sensor) and when you select it then this sensor will be disable and the phone screen and Illumination Bar both will be on during call so you have another problem with any touch on screen during call by your face and your phone will lose more battery energy for that and depend on what time you chose on display option for screen then your screen and Illumination Bar will be off after that time and then you can put the power key for turn them on again
