Xperia ray st18i freezes on sony ericsson logo upon start up

Hi there,

Every time I turn on my sony xperia ray it loads up to the sony ericsson logo and then the backlight brightens with no other progress. It could stay like this until the battery runs out I guess. I have tried updating using the sony PC companion as well the update service application dispite having the latest already installed.

Please could someone help me fix this or at least help me identify whats wrong with it

please help me i have also got same problem...when my xperia ray stop on logo of sony i usually used to update and my phone used to works...but after few days when i changed my display and got software problem .. i used sony update service , it does not works and stop in logo ...is it the repair centre that jam my xperia or what? if so cant i solve my problem...
