xperia not charging and won`t turn on

Please help.. for the past few months i have nothing but trouble with my xperia p... updated to jellybean n from then it`s been assle all the way it has been took and repaired once but has gone the same again costing me more money every mnth as it is actualy buying things like boltons etc. right for 2 days now my phone will not charge, i plug it in and the red light comes on (sometimes doesn`t ) it will stay like that until you knock it or something (dodgy connection) and then it will turn off (the light).. it can be on charge all day which it was yesterday  (kept checkin to se if turns on tho) but nothing....same today. It turns on shows you xperia motif on screen then turns straight back off as batt flat.. please help as am wragging my hair out (literally)

Press power button+vol up until the phone vibrates 3 times(forced shutdown).Connect the phone to a wall charger,then turn it on normally.

To be honest, if it is stopping charging with a very small amount of physical interference you many have a hardware issue. It would be worth contacting you local Xperia Care team regarding getting the handset assessed.

I have the very same probem...

Since 2-3 weeks ago, I began to have problems trying to charge my phone, I tought it was the charger, but after trying with other 2 wall chargers and an usb charger, and nothing... so charger problem its discarted, that leave only one option: the problem is the charger port...

I have an external sony battery, with a less than 10cm usb cable. so I tried with that, many many times.. and miraculously it charges... At 100% I connected the phone and made a full backup with Sony PC Companion.

However, while connected to PC and I can access my phone like always, it doesn't charge, and you can lo longer count with the red/orange led, because the phone really isn't charging...

I've been used the external battery metod, but everytime is more and more dificult to charge it... i have to try even for a WHOLE fu..ing day.....

Really, is there any way to fix it? Or I have to buy other phone?..

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

Hello, I just had the same problem( battery didn't charge, phone off, and LED light off) and FINALLY I could solve it... I tried all the ways possibles and The solution is:
Open Your device and disconnect the batery ( There are some videos on youtube for doing that). Then you need to connect the usb cable and charge your phone on the wall, after that your phone are going to charge normally (just wait 2 minutes), so connect the Batery again for real charging ... AND THAT'S ALL!!!!! (working on Android 4.3 )

don't forget to cover your phone again

Without doing i was looking at having to get a new phone, & it was hurting me having  to get a new phone which i didn't want to do at this time.
