WiFi Hotspot Issue!!

Hi

I have recently bought n Xperia M4 Aqua and up to now I have only had two problems.

The first was that the ringtone went sound and I competely restalled the software to get it back on.The second problem is with tethering.

I have a Tomtom satnav that needs tethering to a phone inorder to get local traffic news.

I then get the error.

Tethering Error - Error occurred during during tethering

I am with 3 Mobile and I was able use Tethering with my ols Galaxy S3. (I will check with 3 to see if things have changed)

Any advice?

I have just found what the problem was.

Whilst fiddling with my device I noticed that I had no phone signal whereas my wife's phone on the same contract was OK. Again whilst fiddling I received the message "insert SIM card". So I removed the SIM card and reinserted it and now everything works OK. Rather strange!!!!

I have connected my Galaxy Tab S to the Xperia Hotspot and the internet connecton was great.

I wonder why it thought that there was no SIM inserted!

I'm glad to hear that you solved it. Regarding the SIM-card, is it a brand new SIM-card or have you cut it yourself into nano-SIM?

When I replaced my old Galaxy S3 with the M4 I had to get a different SIM so I ordered one from 3 Mobile so there should not be any problems due to a bad fit. Also the phone had not been banged or dropped or otherwise maltreated before the problem arose.

Hopefully all is weel now and will remain so.
