Hi, I recently purchased a 64GB Sandisk ultra micro SD card for my Xperia Z3 which works perfectly in every device but my Z3.

At first I assumed the Z3 simply couldnt take a 64GB card which I thought odd and soon discovered was not the case as according to the spec it can indeed take a 64GB or up to 128GB I believe.

I tried with a slow (too slow for purpose) generic 64GB SD card and to my amazement it worked!

So having established the phone is not defective and the sandisk card not compatible (I also tried a friends identical sandisk card and this didn't work either) I decided I would come here to ask.

Can someone with an Xperia Z3 and a micro SD card 64GB or larger please tell me the model of the card so that I can purchase one.

Hi, yes I have several times. This seems to be a known issue with this paticular card and I'm not really interested in trying to remedy it. I'm just looking for someone with first hand experience of a card that does work so I can feel confident purchasing such a card.

I've tested a SanDisk Extreme PLUS 64GB UHS-I with a Z3 and it's working just fine.

I bought a Kingston 64GB XC-I U3
90MB/s Read
80MB/s Write

Works flawlessly in my Z3 (D6603)

It's pretty fast, excellent for 4K/2K and have had it for 7-8 months so far. When I bought it the price was $59 CAD.

I can also confirm the SanDisk 64GB SD XC-I U3 Extreme Pro edition works flawlessly aswell. I have both and they are excellent cards.
