Where is the sound recorder and notes on Z3?

Hi Kraken, I had similar problem also with my new Z3 compact. Firstly, I transferred all data from my old 3GS to new Z3Co using Xperia transfer Sony PC Companion but then showed up error remarks said that the note content transfer was failed. Until now, I'm still wondering is that the reason the note apps is missing from my new Z3Co or maybe it's not available from the beginning.

FYI, my Z3Co is 5833 type and the android version is Kitkat 4.4.4. I already try to installed the note apk file via Mobile Go software downloaded from these various link:

But in the end, the installation still failed with error remark "Not enough space" even the available space still around 9GB left...

Gsmarena article said the note is one of the default apps for this Z3Co feature. Anyone has the solution?

I had the exact same problem, but I found a solution that works.

I tried to transfer the notes from my Iphone to my Xperia Z3 Compact.

Did also get the transfer error message because no Note app on Xperia.

Then I downloaded the "Note" app mentioned here before https://www.dropbox.com/s/yv0yfpverr...Notes.apk?dl=0

and installed it on my Xperia.

Make sure you have the latest version of Sony PC Companion and use "Xperia Transfer".

It worked and all my notes from my Iphone are in the note app on my Xperia now.

I have been using the Zultra for a year now just switched to Z3 last month but I can't find where the note 📝 is on my Z3. Please anyone I need help with this?

Hi Donne,

Just an update, for all new xperia devices or the new os update.

Notes is been replace by Google Keep or Sketch. depending on the market.

SOme countires will get the google keep and some Sketch. Some have both.

You may also want to check your app drawer if you have anyone of the above mentioned.

My Z3 is the same: no notes. Which is fine, but I would like to find a way to recover my previous notes from the Z1C backup.

Any ideas?

Sony, this is pretty serious! Its not possible not to offer a solution to import the notes saved we Note app, replace the app with a new one, and then not giving the option of importing the notes to the new app.

Hi Ratacit,

If your using the default note app which is preload as default, You may want to check if you have an evernote account.

Because that note app is actually from evernote and on the note settings. It allow you to configure or create an account to sync your notes to evernote and recover it anytime later.

Thanks Bandolero. My Z1C is sold, I do not have access to it anymore. I only have the backup on my pc. The Z3 only comes with Google Keep. When trying to import things from previous backup made on a different phone all is fine (contacts, SMS etc) but the notes. There is also no way to sync and the old unit is gone. I still think is a serious flaw.

Hi,

I'm not sure if this will still work with Lollipop. But you can try to install from this apk, which is extracted from the older android version which is preloaded with it.

Once you have install it, try to restore the data to see if works.
