On the 17th of July I purchased a Sony Xperia Z2 phone from MediaMarkt Ankara, Turkey. The microphone of the phone was not working, in other words the person on the other side of the line did not hear me. The phone was immediately returned to Media Markt Türkiye and was sent to the Service Center for replacement. The new phone was sent to me after 1.5 months (yes, literally 45 days I had to wait) and guess what, the new phone had exactly the same problem. The microphone was not working again. It was all witnessed by MediaMarkt customer service empoyees. The new phone, only an hour after its arrival was packed and sent to the Service Center. This time, the service center sent me supposedly a phone (1 months later - in an unsealed box, almost damaged outside with some weird stickers around it), and even Media Markt refused to take it.
I called Sony customer service dozens of times and they did not respond to any of my calls. I have been asking for a refund and they are refusing to refund me and they are telling me I should obtain a court decision for a refund.
I purchased a phone on the 17th of July and it is almost November and I neither have a phone nor a refund. I left a message to Sony Customer Service center again no call back.
Most bizzare company & product and customer service ever. If you insist on buying it, I am telling you, you are taking a huge risk. I am never buying anything from Sony ever again!
Does anyone have a postal address for Xperia customer services as I'm getting nowhere on the phone or online. I organised for my Z2's cracked screen to be repaired through the Sony website and 7 weeks down the line still haven't had it back. Customer services are blaming the repair company who are in turn blaming Sony for a parts supply problem. Can anyone help??

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
I have checked this and it appears the Xperia Care team have been chasing this up for you, however they advised you to contact them back in a few days the last time you spoke with them. Have you followed this up with them since?

Hi Sam
I have contacted them on an almost weekly basis only to be told there is nothing they can do and that the parts are due in that week. Every week the part fails to arrive. I have asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and was told that that was not possible. Understandably I'm getting more and more frustrated after 7 weeks without my Z2
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let everyone know about my terrible customer service experience with Sony and to see if anyone has had the same.
I bought an Xperia Z2 back in April, used it for about 3 weeks until decided to try out the waterproof feature. Flaps were tightly closed and i dunked it in the sink for maybe 10-15 seconds. Pulled it out and everything looked fine until about 5 minutes later this is what happened. Needless to say water got in the "waterproof" phone.
After hours of calling my carrier (Bell) and Sony who kept on referring me back to one and other I finally got an RMA saying they would send me a replacement unit. They supplied a shipping label and return instructions indicating the process would take roughly 14 days (which i find a little long to do a straight swap but whatever). Sony received my phone on the 23rd of June. We are now the 28th July and I haven't heard one word from Sony. I've initiated contact with them 3 times to get the standard "we've escalated your request and we will contact you within 24-48 hrs" and every single time they fail to call back. I find it unacceptable that I can't even get a call back. I work in sales / customer relations for a fortune 100 company and I can tell you if I treated my clients like this i would be out of a job. I find it amazing that such a large company like Sony has such poor customer service. I switched over from Samsung to get this phone and I definitely regret that decision!
Are you saying Samsung customer care is good?
I beg to differ.
It's worse than Sony, believe it or not.
It's ******.

At least Samsung sold me a product that actually worked. I've beaten the **bleep** out of my S3 and I got it a couple days after launch...
This Z2 is such a piece of garbage from all the bugs and lags, terrible headphone volume, facebook issues, horribly weak flash, overheating, suprisingly really crappy camera oh and not being able to talk on the phone after you take it out of the water is a real plus... the list just goes on for me. When I finally get my **bleep** replacement, I'm selling right away and nerver looking back
