voice dialer

I am trying to set up the voice dialer without success any help would be appreciated.

It's funny ... i tell the phone to open calendar ,it opens "quadra pop" ,i tell it to redial , it calls 889 8899 ... what the F ???

Hi there,

The voice dialler app in the x10 seems to be an afterthought and I share your frustrations.

It will NOT dial straight from the earpiece and requires too many button pushes to be safe or useful when driving.

I have managed to makes it work when following the Phonebook structure for entries [e.g "Call Smith, Alan on mobile"] as for some reason known only to Sony the x10 no longer allows Voice Tags onto a contact.

There are better Apps on the Android Market for voice dialling and until Sony introduces Voice Tags or a free App in an update, this user is leaving the x10 gathering dust in the office. Glad it was free my contract update....no wonder the iPhone is so popular if this is Sony Ericcsons idea of a smartphone"
