My Sony Xperia Z3 doesn't have service. It can only connect to WiFi. I've tried airplane mode, shutting it off, resetting the phone. I cannot receive incoming calls nor make calls. This is becoming very frustrating. Help please!

Hi, I recently have had this problem and it lasted for months and was very frustrating, but one day updated i my phone and the problem went away I had signal and everything worked fine, now yesturday I updated my phone again and I have had no signal since, this is very frustrating a I believe this a a technical fault to do with the update, I tried everything to fix it but nothing worked.

Well I'm a bit of an idiot cause it works now, but before when it didn't last for months, I tried everything; new sim cards, i talked to support and did everything they said, no on was able to solve this problem, I didn't send my phone off to Sony for it to get checked but was very close. I don't know what happened but it suddenly worked again.
