Turning off applications when finished

Hi,

I bought a new sony ericsson x10 mini the other day and it is a fantastic phone. It is running in the Android system which is really good. The only thing that I can not figure our is that when I open up an application I don't know how to close them so I am left with multiples of Apps open at the same time. This seem to run the battery down really fast, but I can't seem to find any where or anybody that knows how to close the apps when I am finishes. Would anybody have any ideas how to close the apps.
Thanks in advance

Simple.

  1. Go into markeplace.
  2. Search Advanced Task Killer
  3. Install free version
  4. Open any time you want to shut down your apps
  5. Highlight ones & hold down finger on apps you want to ignore
  6. For example i do not "kill" email, mediascape, timescape, messaging, alarm clock (other non stock apps as well) - number of personal reasons - you can select your own
  7. Use regularly
  8. In settings you can also select an auto kill level & frequency along with security level to regularly shut down power hungry apps

If you were used to the winmo X button then you will have to get used to this method - there is no auto shutdown of apps that I (a relatively new Droid user) know of

This really is a great program
