I'm having problems with my Z2 tablet touchscreen.
When I am trying to scroll with my finger, the screen jumps all over the place.
I have tried running the touchscreen test in diagnostics, and I am getting some unusual failures.
The test below I ran my finger horizontally across the screen, and you can see how it has jumped all around.
In some cases it will follow my finger. Other cases it will jump all over the place.
I have a screen protector, but am convinced it is not that as it has been fitted for several months and this hasn't been a problem before.
Can anyone help, or is this a warranty issue?
Hi,
I have the same touch screen issue. Also the update to Android 5.0.2 didn't changed anything.
The issue appears after some time. Currently the device is running for 301 hours after reboot.
When I reboot the issue is gone and reappears again after a while.
In Android 5.0.2 the touchscreen test has changed so that you can't see the trail anymore. So I've used YAMTT Paint Tester. Picture 1 shows the result when I move the finger in the middle of the screen horizontaly from left to right.
The second picture shows 3 moves each from up to down.
If anyone else has this problem is it still present after turning the screen off an on again? Mine does this often and if I turn the screen off and on its fixed (until the next time) don't know if its software or hardware problem but it seems to be stuck in some low sensitivity mode and turing int screen off and on seems to sort it out
Hi @chrishassony
Have you tried to boot the device in safe mode to see if the problem persists ?

Best Regards,
Hi yes it happens in safe mode. but it's not consistent. I think it happens more often when the device is woken with a double tap to screen but this isn't always the case. It actually hasn't happened yet since upgrading to 5.1.1 so maybe it's fixed although I've only had 5.1.1 since yesterday and not used it much. The problem was present since kitkat and is temporarily fixed by turning screen on and off as explained above.
Hi @chrishassony
Please test the device with the new update, I'm at disposal for any question.
Best Regards,
