TIPO TOUCHSCREEN FIX PATCH HERE

FIX FOR THE TOUCHSCREEN PROBLEM::smileylaugh::smileylove:

METHOD 1: INSTALLING THE .APK FILE FROM SD CARD

1-Download the file from http://www.4shared.com/rar/3p6YulVl/ST21i_calibrate.html

2-Unpack it and copy the .apk file to your SD card (THAT CAN BE FOUND IN THE "TOOLS" FOLDER)

3-Install it using Easy Installer (that you can easily download to your handset with google play)

4-Run the tool, put your phone in a plain surface and click the button "calibrate" (there will be only one button in the middle of the screen).

The phone will get fixed right away, and you may uninstall the so called patch.

METHOD 2: INSTALLING VIA WINDOWS (SEEMS EASYER, DON'T KNOW IF IT WORKS):

1. extract it to somewhere in your PC

2. connect your Tipo to PC

3. open tool folder and run adb_detect.bat

4. run setup_TouchFWTools.bat

5. disconnect your Tipo and you will see the callibration option on your Tipo screen

6. put your Tipo on the table or something that have flat surface and start callibration

7. tadaaa.. your tipo will run smoothly now.. tested by BLINDSHOOTER..

It shall work for Sony Xperia Tipo ST21i, Sony Xperia Tipo ST21a, Sony Xperia Tipo Dual ST21i2, Sony Xperia Tipo ST21a2, and other models that have the same issue, such as Sony Xperia Sola and Sony Xperia Miro

This patch was first released at XDA by user blindshooter at post:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33782261&postcount=347

Comments:

This is a so-called "calibrator", but it makes no calibration at all, it just patches the phone. It is obviously made by Sony, but somehow they did not gave it away, who knows why?

For those that are not familiar with this million-users defect, this patch / fix will work for sony xperia phones with the laggy touchscreen, as described in this thread:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/53679

I hope you did not throw the phone away, after you apply the patch it gets pretty good.

THANK YOU USERS COMMUNITY!

I used the pach on my Tipo dual ST21I2. No change in the touch problem at all. I wonder if there would be any other solution from Sony. At times it freezes to such an extent that when there is an incoming call one can not receive it and the caller keeps dialing without a clue. There are no hardware buttons to recieve the call or cut the call. A stupid design all the way. I do not know how such phones come to the market without testing the screen touch.

I just got a Xperia Tipo and the first thing I did was update to the
latest Sony software.

I looked at the YouTube videos of the screen problem and I don't see the same level of problem.

Can anyone confirm if the patch is still needed after the latest Sony  update?

My phone is running build number 11.0.A.A22

I hate to risk bricking my phone for nothing.

Tks much in advance.
