SP freeze soon after turning on Stamina after 4.3 update

Hello everyone,

My latest and most disturbing issue with Xperia SP is with STAMINA mode. I can turn it on. And it seems to be ok when the screen is off. However, after a couple of times I wake it and go to whatsapp or messenger or etc., it starts giving 'XXX app is not responding.' once or twice. This is sometimes even 'Home' app, and I use stock launcher with stock background (not a live wallpaper). Usually the phone freezes completely at the second or third time it gives this 'X app is not responding'. Screen and any hard buttons are not responding. As I can't remove the battery, I must carry around a pin to hard reset the phone under the back cover to restart. I think this started occuring after the 4.3 update (but I'm not 100% certain as I'm scared to turn STAMINA on).

I was relying on STAMINA for going through long days when I'm expecting a call, but this is making the exact opposite. 

I should probably add, I have NO application active in standby within options of STAMINA mode.

I am ahving the same problem. it looks as if the stamina mode is stopping the basic apps like the "phone process" and "home" etc. I hav to invariably reset the phone twice at least in a day when using the phone in the stamina mode.

This has happened after the firmware update I am running on Android 4.3 Build 12.1.A.1.205 and this problem was there even on the previous build but not when the phone was bot brand new about a year ago.

Without the stamin amode the battery only lasts for about 14 hours realistically. With it it lasts 23 hours with the usage i put my phone to, but I have to reset the phone at least twice because the phone refuses to unlock and says some process or the other is not responding.
