Sony Experia SP is dead

Good evening,
My phone worked this morning after being fully charged. I went to see it one hour later and it was lifeless.
So far I have tried a hard reset i.e. volumn up together with power button for 30 seconds......nothing.
Plugged the phone into charged and no light comes on at all.
Please help!!

Lastly...it does seem to make a random noise every now and again...like a do-do-doooooooo.....  feel silly now but seriously need help.

Turn it on normally.

Okay, done that - still nothing.
Strange thing is that I can still hear text come through and emails also, but still phone is dead.
Please help !!
