Hi, i recently bought a new Sony Ericsson WT19i Android Walkman phone from Dubai. I started using the phone in Bangalore, India sice last 5 days. The phone has been continuously restarting automatically when kept idle or shuts down while talking on the phone. Is viited a Sony Ericsson authorised service center to get this fixed. I came to know that the warranty is invalid in India & i will have to pay for the service. When i gave it for checking the issue, the service engineer returned saying it has been Purchased from Abroad, if the software is installed the network would get locked. He also mentioned that the software varies from country to country which was surprisng to hear. My provblem remains same & I pretty upset that my new phone is not working.

Can anyone suggest a solution for this please. Thanks-Prasanna.

After lots of arguing, i had to rub the video in their faces for them to admit the phone had problems. They even refused replacement at first, cause the second time i brought them the phone saying it was faulty ,more than 7 days had past and was not eligible for replacement. Anyway at the end after getting the manager involed i got the phone replaced with a brand new, the same day. No problem for the new one, runs smooth. I even kept the standard 2gig SD fom the first faulty device for ma troubles

Anyone who's still having problems after the Software Update, get proof of the restarts, and demand a replacement if its not too late. Otherwise your phone will be send back to SE for repair and you might find yourselfs without a phone for days.

yes the phone data will be deleted but not in the sd card but your installed apps on the sd card will. just type and retype your username and password. at first i have also difficulty in login.i flsh my phone at about hours. but the wait is not wasted. make sure you backup your data. and make sure your battery is fully chagre. not you should have your pc should not encounter any power interruptions.

i can login just fine but when i click on the link to use flash that's when the message 'you have too few credits to use any of the offered services' appears. how do i get past that? thanks!

I think you're doing it wrong.

1. Login to wotan account.

2. Download these two softwares

http://www.wotanserver.com/downloads/USBFlashDriver.exe

http://www.wotanserver.com/downloads/WotanClient.exe

3. Install them both and open Wotan Client and login with your website login information

4. Follow the steps mentioned

It was over for me in 20 minutes. Make sure you have a charge of more than 60%

Also, before flashing, select Advanced options and select 4.0.2.A.0.62. For me it was default selected at 4.0.2.C.0.5

I've updated the firmware 4.0.2.A.0.62 just now via PC Companion... its done.. i was taking so long.. around 30+ mins.. done now with out errors..:smileyhappy: let us see..

Hi... I've updated the firmware 4.0.2.A.0.62 Y'day via PC Companion... Till now there is no restart.. Connected to internet.. apps installed... Same SD.. Last week i did factory rest and format SD.. after one day again the problem started.. but now after the update.. No issues yet.. will wait and see..

I want to update the firmware to 4.0.2.A.0.62.
I've learned the steps you guys posted before but there's a very important thing I don't know. Well my question is: which one is the service button I have to press while I'm plugging in the USB on the phone?
I know it's a really silly thing, but please help me
