Sony Ericsson Elm problems - writing text

Here i want to describe some problems concerning writing text.

1. When i was writing text message (it was a long message), i decided back to the middle of it to correct mistake, but during rewind flashing cursor disappeared. So i wasn't able to put cursor in needed place. So you can only click for several times to get in the right place and it's not very convenient.

2. For what reason you changed space to 0-key? After 5 SE-phones i really can't get used to it.. And when i use Opera after Netfront i always confuse the buttons..

3. T9 in my previous C510i was more comfortable for writing.

4. When i write messages quickly and sometimes confuse the buttons, i want to clear wrong symbol. But i can't do it immediately. Instead i must wait for a second and only after that can clear the symbol. It makes me angry every time.

It is not all the problems, can't remember all in one time. But all of them makes the writing process inconvenient.

Hope you will note my comments. If anybody knows another issues about writing - please write here.

P.S. Sorry for my English - i'm trying to improve it Slightly_smiling_Face

And another point. When i am writing some word, for example, Sony, after 'o' letter i want to press 'left' on joypad to type 'n' letter quickly. But instead of reducing delay, as it was in previous phones, it makes space, and slows the process of writing..

I fully agree: The T9 on my previous (K810, K750) was more comfortable and "intelligent".

The last row is totally confusing after the years -> SPACE, Big/Small, +. Why did someone do that? Slightly_frowning_Face

With every new SE I'm testing the functionallity from the old days - where you could write messages without T9 but with the Volume Up&Down on the side with which you could choose the second or third letter after one key press - very very very nice feature... but it's gone and I'm still missing it Crying_Face

They probably changed it to be the same as the market leader - Nokia (and I think the same as the market number 2 Samsung too - not sure).

I also preferrred having A/a and T9 on/off on the same key as on the K800, though the new layout is not a big deal once you get used to it.

I have, however, noticed some annoying bugs in text input too:

- noticed that sometimes you choose upper/lower case in the middle of a word and it doesn't obey the selected case (try typing for example "McDonald" with this exact captialisation and T9 off).

- words also get auto-completed with T9 beoth on and off - can be difficult ot type a sub-set of a word.

Also, when editing contacts you can't input a 'P' for pause (have to instead input on standby screen) - useful when dialling VoIP services.
