I use Sony Bridge for Mac to transfer photos from my Xperia to my Mac. But since iPhoto has been changed to a new app called Photos, the Bridge for Mac app hasn't been updated. So photos I've transferred just seem to have disappeared - and I'd deleted them from my device before I realised. The 'import to' drop down menu only says 'iPhoto' and not 'Photos'. So It seems that I've lost the Xperia photos I've just transferred. I've now reset the menu default from 'iPhoto' to 'Pictures', but would rather save them to Mac Photos rather than via the Pictures folder. Anybody know when Bridge for Mac will be compatible with Photos?
There's no info on this, but you could contact your local Xperia Care
Hi Krishanarora!
The development team will soon start to investigate this.
So I can't say when it will be released.
As soon as I know I will post it hear.

Is there any update on when a fix for this issue will be available? I originally purchased a Sony phone because it talked nicely with my mac using the bridge software. The latest version only talks to iphoto and not Photos, which is a pain. Thanks.
Hi!
There was a new release of BFM today (4.2).
BFM(4.2) has support for Photos.
You have to download the release from Sony and install the .dmg.
I think the auto update will be added tomorrow.
Best regards

Is there any news about this?
I have Bridge For Mac 4.3 and I still can't import pictures in Photos.
For me it doesn´t work too (Xperia Z5), BFM in Version 4.3 and OS X 10.5.5.
BFM knows only the iPhoto - Library, but since months there is nothing to find, all ist in the Photo - Lib.
I hope this will be fixed soon, otherwise the next phone must be an iPhone once again as Mac User. I must/want sync my content with my Phone.
Hi thorspan!
A new release of BFM is now out 4.4. (Can be downloaded from Sonys' webpage)
Try to update and and see if it's still a problem.
I have tried to reproduce the error you have and I haven't managed with it.
If you still have a problem send me a pm.
Best regards
Fredrik
Hi All
I updated to BFM 4.4 and am having an issue that sounds the same as mentioned above.
I can import photo's from My Xperia M4 Aqua to Photos app no problem.
The problem is that if I want to put Photos app albums back on my phone, I can't because the BFM menu still only allows transfer from iPhoto, not Photos app. Because my Mac is now converted to Photos app this is useless.
I see there is a function in BFM to transfer from a folder but this is very time consuming and frankly not worth the effort.
Are we waiting for an upgrade for BFM to change the menu to Photos app? Or is there another way to do this that I haven't found?
Cheers
Davo
(My mac is running OS X El Capitan v10.11.3)
