Software update

I've instaled the update and since I have the battery power level has rocketed. I'm having to charge at least four times a day. Now my phone has powered off completely and doesn't seem to want to come back to life. 

What's going on?

Charge it for 2 hours,force shutdown:

Turn it on normally.

I have an.Experia Z. I loved the phone until the latest kitkat update. Now the battery life is shocking and I too have to recharge it up to 4 times a day now, the internet lags and regularly disconnects from wifi, it overheats and regularly freezes.
I want my very easy to use, no problem phone back. When will these glitches be sorted out?
