proximity sensor issue

Hi I've sony xperia tipo its having proximity sensor problem sometimes sensor shut off the screen while calling and doesn't shuts on the screen till th e call is not ended and sometimes it keep light up while on the call. And I have upadated to latest software but still not working and in system check its says "detected"..

I have screen protector

You should remove it and check again.

If you experience the same behavior without a screen protector you can try to reinstall/repair the phone software using PC Companion:

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone/tablet".
