Photos - renaming and adding contact names

Two questions:

1.  Is it possible to rename photos on the X10?  I suppose it would be possible to attach the phone to the computer and rename them on there, but is there any way of doing it from the phoine itself?

2.  Is it possible to assign a contact name to a photo that has been downloaded to the phone?  For example, if I happened to download a few pictures of Zhang Ziyi, can I create her as a contact and get the phone to recognise the pictures as being of her?  I don;t see a way of doing it.  The photos are clear shots that include her face.  Again, perhaps I have to do it through the computer...?

Any advice would be much appreciated.  Thank you!

1. You can rename files with ES file explorer, Astro, or other file management apps that you can download from the market.

2. The phone can detect faces on photos that you save from the internet or on photos that you transfer from your PC. The problem is, face recognition is not very strong. Some close-up portrait photos are not recognized as faces. However, the first two items in the following image are actually recognized as faces. The third is not. Strange... I hope for improved firmware!

(Sorry, no clue why imageshack rotates the image.)http://img12.imageshack.us/i/dsc0073jq.jpg

Do you really mean that the top picture and the one of the house are recognised as faces, but the man with the glasses isn't...?  Very odd!  And I don;t suppose that there's a way of 'forcing' the phone to recognise a face, by whioch I mean to assign a contact name to a picture, whether the phone sees it as a face or not?

I'll use the SE file explorer to rename files.  Thank you!
