PC Companion can't detect phone after 5.0.2 update

Since my sony xperia z ultra updated to the 5.0.2, my computer won't recognize it when i try getting on pc-companion. Before the update i plugged in the usb to the computer and it even downloaded the 5.0.2 for me through pc companion, however, after the update its not working. I tried restarting both, the phone and the computer and still nothing. Please help me out on this

Sorry to hear that you have issues after the update.

I recommend that you first go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Media Storage -> Clear data -> OK and then restart the phone. It will not delete any of your files.

I am facing similar issue on my xperia Z after update 5.0.2

I did fresh installation of the PC companion software on my computer, updated the software on my computer.

And it still does not solve my issue.

I also "Clar Data" as you had suggested, but still the result is same.

What should I do next now?

Hey!

I was just trying to run the software update on xperia z2, and the update got failed and the phone can't get turned on!

I downloaded PC companion on my laptop, in order to help me recovering my phone.

During the second step on " Phone software update " inside the PC companian, my phone can't get deteced. 

What shall i do Please?

In this case i recommend that you try to do a software repair using PC Companion. This will reinstall the entire software in the phone.
