No 4g since build 23.4.A.1.232

Hello, I have a problem with my xperia z3 compact.

My problem is that it can't connect to 4G since the new build 23.4.A.1.232. Before (at the build just before) 4G fixed perfectly and rapidly. All my APN is configured, i'm at a Free (french operator), but maybe I must configure anything in these ones ?

When I activate 4G, it search a few seconds and return to 3G. I try to reboot my phone, replace my SIM, download "Internet settings" in "More". It's the D5803 model, it's compatible with 2600 Mhz frequency of my operator.

I saw on another forum that another persons have the same problem while another persons haven't this problem !

Thank's to help me !

Mras.

You should check with your carrier perhaps there's an issue with the 4G LTE coverage

LTE band 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 13(700), 17(700), 20(800) - D5803

Hello,

I have the same operator (FreeMobile) but no problem for me with the 4G.

Have you try to re-download APN?

I don't now if it is important, but in the website it is indicate ti add hi-pri on the data APN.

I have a Z3c too, build 23.4.A.1.232 (updated in a repair center...).

@Mras

Any updates?

Check authentication in APN settings. I was not able to log into LTE with default settings in older firmwares. Setting valid authentication (check your operator website) resolved my issue.

Yes !

With the SIM card of the other person it was working ! When I replace my sim card it's work up to I desactivated 4G. After it can't fix 4G.

I will order a new sim card. I hope it will work because it costs about 10€ (about 10$) !

Thank you Sergio but I think that it's correctly configured because with an other sim card it has worked !

I will give you news

@Mras good to know Slightly_smiling_Face

If it works on the simcard from other person you should make a complain to your telecom and ask for free replacement. Simcard is owned by a telecom company and is being used to provide you a service you pay for. If for some reason the sim is malfunctioning (and it is not because of your fault) operator should replace it for free.

The only reason for paying for a simcard change is when you switch form factor (ie. micro to nano) and didn't bought the phone through operator, lost (by you or being stolen) and damaged (by cutting to other form factor or other abuse). And of course when you lock the card by using wrong PUK for 10 times 😉
