Hello,
Yesterday I bought an Xperia Tipo ST21. I came home, installed the sim card and battery and left the phone charging overnight (16+ hours). In that time the phone wouldn't turn on but there was a green light on the phone. The instructions offered no help regarding any of this so I just figured I would leave it charging. However today I have tried unplugging the phone and pressing the power button, and the phone doesn't turn on; instead I get a red flashing light. I have checked that I have installed the battery and sim card correctly and as far as I can see, I did.
Any suggestions as to why I might be getting this red light?

I had the same problem with my phone. I tried charging it with the original connector to the wall instead of charging it from the computer and it started! Hopefully it will help someone who has'nt tried that!
For me the same, but I could see a "S1boot Download" device in device manager during USB connection. I will bring it to the shop. Seems to be of real poor quality.
You're right! I was getting so worried, I nearly gave up when it kicked in to life. Thank you!
