My Xperia P doesnt connect to 3G/HSPA

I just got my Xperia P and When I tried to connect to the internet using 3G it wont connect. My sim is good since it was working with my Xperia mini perfectly before. It only stays to EDGE. Is this an issue with Xperia P?. My phone running ICS already. Im repairing my phone now using PCC.

Also this xperia doesnt have an option to change band like USA mode, Japan mode etc when you go to phone information when yu dialed #*#*4636*#*#.Is this normal as well? Im starting to think that I dont have a good xperia phone now pls. help.

Have you checked your network mode? Is it selected as GSM Only. If yes then change it to WCDMA Preffered/GSM.

Go to: settings->xperia->internet settings and download the setup of internet and mms services packet  and you are the catpitan 😉

Thanks for the replies. Guys the SUS updated the phone successfully. Now Im just testing the phone, Will reply to this post once Im done observing the phone..

BTW - I tried your suggestions before already. Didnt work.. Lets find out this time.

Can you provide a detailed process to enable your 3G? I can't figure out how to do this and nothing happened when I tried the previous suggestions. The 3G logo or H doesn't appear on the top screen.
