mobile network not available

I have been using my Sony Xperia L for the past nine months, frequently I have experienced vague activity by my mobile hand set, the network suddenly drops down and there will be no connectivity at all and this happens in the middle of the call and many a times there will be no network but if I use the same sim card on the other mobile it shows good signal and connectivity. Today my mobile handset is not picking up any signal and showing "Mobile network not available" with an X mark with red on the network signal symbol, I tried with other Network's sim cards but still it shows no network, I have changed the network settings to GSM/WCDMA/ Preferred WCDMA/GSM but it does not work in any of the mode but the sim cards are showing good signal and connectivity in my other mobile phones. I have restarted my mobile and took the battery out and restarted, changed the sim card but none of the trial worked. Kindly help me with this issue.:smileyconfused:

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Seems like you have tried the most that you can by yourself. I would suggest that you try to boot your phone into safe mode to see if the problem may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:

If the behavior persists, you can try to reinstall/repair the phone software using PC Companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone/tablet".

Before repairing the software in your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to:

Well in that case you could try to enable USB debugging under settings > developer options > USB debugging. Then you can try to connect to the 3rd party PC program My phone explorer to see if you can get a connection and backup your device.

To enable developer option in the settings menu, go to settings > about phone > tap on build number until it says you're a developer.
