M4 Aqua problems

I have been having some problems with my M4 since I got it but whenever I ask sony support I just get a generic response telling me to do a system restore.

(1) The first few days after I got my phone I noticed that it had a 7-10% batery drain every morning when I put it on after charging, this drain only occurs on the first start up after a long period of inactivity such as overnight.

(2) the device seemed to struggle to hold the 2 day battery life as it almost always seemed to die within a single day even with draining settings such as LTE, GPS and roaming turned off, it only hold a long charge if i just leave it lying around and not use it all day.

(3) the device heats up quite alot when using certain applications.

(4) I have been having a lot of problems with the phone just restarting and sometimes it gets stuck on a constant vibrate for about 10 seconds before restarting.

(5)the final problem was a static/ electrical short type sound that started through the speaker when i pressed the back key, even when I truned off my sound it would still happen.

I ended up taking my phone in to my service provider and it was sent to a repair centre and when it came back the repair form showed quite a lot had been done, but the problems were still there and in fact the only problem I havent experienced again is the static/ electrical short noise.

Can anyone tell me if any of this is normal? I have tried software restores through the phone and on the PC companion, the repair centre also did some kind of software upgrade while it was there.

1. Settings, power management, battery, this list will show you which apps have been using up your battery which leads me to
2. If you tap on the graph you probably noticed that you either leave wifi on all the time and or your network coverage its rather weak, which will drain your battery even further, as for the two days battery life you can read about it online, on how it works.
3. Thats normal with any device more so if its wifi/data dependant

4. Boot on safe mode and use the phone like that for few hours, do you experience the same lag or issues? If you don't then its a third party app issue, not a preloaded app.

5. This is something that has to inspected by your local Xperia support team

Hi, firstly thank you for your help, its more than ive gotten from my local sony suport lately. I have read through your responses and I have tried the safe mode boot and I had no problems with it restarting but I did forget to mention that the phone restarted within minutes of getting it back from the repair centre, before I had even loaded any other apps and the restarts happen at random sometimes with days between them. In regard to the other tips, I dont leave my wifi on all the time as my wifi is rather problematic so i stay on normal data connection, my signal coverage is rather weak in some areas though as you said. The most draining thing in my battery usage list is my screen, all my apps use around 3%. Thanks a lot for clarifying the heating and battery life issues.

The screen its at the top of the list unless you don't use the phone that much, so that's normal, charge your phone 100%, let it drain with normal use to 10% then check the list, take screenshots, then tap on the top 4 items check how many hours they have been on, also take a screenshot of the graph and lastly check

Hi, over the last few days my bettery has been lasting a lot longer than it used to (thank you for the battery tips) the only thing still happeninig is the restart but now that ive watched it during the whole restart I see that it always says "Android is upgrading" even though there was never an update.

I have that issue along with many others android is upgrading on start up that it will disappear after the repair software is used but as soon as it comes back that is the sign that your M4 Aqua needs another repair reset. 

With my phone its when that message comes on things start going downhill fast soon my phone becomes unuseble until the you repair it with the PC companion software.
