Let's do a list of known lollipop issues

My update to lollipop has left me feeling more than let down - I feel like I've had my phone stolen & a childs toy put in its place.

Not liking lollipop at all & here's my initial dislikes & failings regarding this firmware.

Awful "material design" looks - just looks childish with all the bright awful primary colours.

Battery life reduced by 20-25% used to get 2 days with average usage only getting maximum 36 hours now - you'll have to amend your advetising 2 days battery life brags SONY because it simply doesn't happen now (unless you don't actually use the phone)

"Ok google" voice command not working from locked screen off. I've had this working on other phones on older firmwares - sort it SONY!!!

"Style cover" issues - Sony's official cover doesn't work properly for some with the lollipop update.

"Extra large" font size causes missing scripts on pages such as the now horrible alarm app. This alarm page is truely awful & would have stopped me updating if I had seen it prior to making this update mistake.

"Close all" button missing from open app carousel - huge mistake but is this a Google or a Sony mistake?

Battery taking a lot longer to charge(over 4 hours to charge from 6% to 99% & was stuck on 99% for over 15 minutes) - this is unforgivable especially with the loss of battery life (my guess is my battery is taking upto 2 hours longer to reach fully charged but this may be squedd due to using more battery in normal usage)

Bluetooth not working as good as pre lollypop - tracks skip, poor quality at times & occasional lipsync issues. POOR poor poor (this is affecting the use of my bluetooth motorbike helmet (which was not cheap) & my Samsung HS3000 bluetooth dongle.

These are my initial feelings about this (seriously not rushed update by Sony) lollipop update. It's my opinion that Sony have made a bit of a balls with this update - creating more problems & solving non, making the phone harder to use & ugly to look at - I have regrets.

RICKARD the mod - Please STOP editing my posts - Do we live in North Korea? Freedom of speech my friend the heading is as is & it may help others find some answers to there lollipop problems.

if the phone is on the charging dock (horizontal) then:

1. lock screen cards CANNOT be pressed or dismissed

2. if the phone is unlocked and you pull the status bar down you cannot select any cards.

3. you are meant to be able to select a card and unlock and the phone goes straight to the notification however: this rarely works in practice

another issue:

Notifications on the lock screen were disabled which meant that my walkman app didn't show on the lockscreen. wasted an hour finding out how to fix this (hint go to settings - sound and notifications - change : 'when device is locked' to 'show all notifications' Sony have REDUCED the functionality of the lockscreen walkman controls by only allowing pause and skip song forward. no skip backwards.

Annoying. especially the dock issues - I bought a top of the range phone and then bought the charging dock - another £20 - the official sony one no less, and then they go and screw up the functionality when its docked!

sort it out Sony. Don't you employ any testing procedures?

Agree with everything above but the worst thing is the battery life now! I'm gonna rant over this until its fixed by Sony because when i was on KitKat the battery was the best thing. However i dont mind the design, was just a matter of time before they wanted to try something different /:

If by "cards" you mean the notifications like email, sms message etc...I don't have that problem at all they work just fine in the dock as well as off

I fully agree with the battery issue, I now have to chage it every day.

For me the battery issue seems to be getting worse by the day - as it stands today I am now only getting 22 hours usage & my usage has not changed since I updated to lollipop. The 2 day battery life of kitkat was one of the best features of this mobile no other mobile had anything near the battery life but now it is only just equal to or maybe even worse than other marks running the same Android version - I am massivly disapointed with this Mr Sony - SORT IT OUT & remove the adverts stating 2 day battery life because now it is simply FALSE ADVERTISING.

1.Battery life is diabolical
2. When opening camera with camera button you get the camera opening sound even if sounds are switched off and phone is in silent. This doesn't happen if you select camera from the app list.
3.in landscape mode when you pull down the notification bar it goes off the screen.
4. Material design colours make me want to vomit
5.i can't get notification icons on the top of the lock screen. I either have them switched off or I'm forced to have white bars with text on the screen. This annoys me.
6. Notifications appear on my actual screen while I'm doing something rather than just appear as an icon in the notification bar.
I don't seem to be getting notification led light when screen is locked
7. No close all apps button. Despite what Google are saying I have experienced increased lag when all apps are open in ram.. 40+ "recent" apps were open...

Just done a bit of a battery loss reading - 55minutes using ITVplayer to stream, cost me 21% of my battery power. That is shockingly bad & even worse than I first thought - Come on Sony we know you read these forums - your flagship Z3 with its 2 day battery is dead on lollipop. Your update has totally ruined it for me & I now have a phone that I actually dislike. Shame as I have plenty of Sony goods with most of them being spot on but this Z3 has ruined the Sony mark for me & this will be my last Sony purchase.
