How to set a pic wallpaper without cropping it ?
You will always need to crop the image to the aspect ratio of the phones display. You can get around this by using any number of third party launcher from the Playstore that support single screen wallpapers.

that's normal, even on other OS you have to crop the picture, even on computers you have to either crop the picture or stretch it

I use a app called Dodol wallpaper. Hope that helps
The way I have gone around it is:
1. I make a big blank image file (size bigger than the image which I want to make wallpaper)
2. import the pic which I want here and place it at the center
3. save this
now I can use this new image file to make wallpaper, this way the image which I want becomes wallpaper without any cropped out portions

I use an app called Picspeed https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.srsdev.wallpapers&hl=en which allows me to use any image as a wallpaper and also allows me to crop if needed and if not alolows me to use the full image however I do sometime resize if only to get the part of the image on the main home screen ie: The middle one
Thank you very much prashk20.
I must admit I thought that it shouldn't work, but I tried anyway and it worked perfectly.
But it is really stupid, you know ?
I mean, if the system would let me use a 1440x1280 portion of a bigger picture, why would it not let me use all of a 1440x1280 picture and force me to crop ?
I could understand if the crop was limited with the physical screen size (720x1280), but it's not.
I'd be happy if someone could explain the logic behind this, if there's any of course!..
I have tried Picspeed, but it still wants to crop, whereas this free app call 'Wallpaper Maker' is easy to use and does exactly what I want. I do use PicsArt to edit and a great app it is and then use wallpaper maker to setas background...
