When I open the ALBUM, there i can see a lot of pictures since October 2013 but when I open my phone's content (pictures) in computer in DCIM folder (including all 3 folders within it) They are just around 1300 pics. But I know I have around 2500 pics in my phone. I just want to copy each and every single pic and video that is there in ALBUM to my computer. PLEASE HELP! Also, I think ALBUM contains a lot of pics from Whatsapp too. Please tell me how can I take backup of all such data?

When I try to copy a folder from phone's content (when opened in computer) it keeps saying - 'calculating the time required to copy files' and does nothing. I have even tried 2-3 other computers but still no luck. I'm so much worried about all my data in this phone.

How can I free-up device memory of Xperia S?

I can't tell you how frustrated I am with my phone right now. It acts slower than a snail. For example: when I have to call someone from my recent calls, I just tap the contact and ideally it should right away call that contact rather it just get stuck I don't know where and doesn't show anything on the screen for first 120-140 seconds and then I see that a call has been made.

Another problem, I see 3-4 messages every minute - Google Play Store is not responding. Would you like to close it?
with two options - Wait & Ok
Whatsapp is not responding, Contact is not responding and so on.

This is now taking a toll on me. My patience level has gone and I can't use it like this. Please help me someone.

P.S: Also, I have tried many cleaning apps and apps that make your android phone fast.

Open the phone app > menu > clear call logs

Open the messaging app and delete all conversations

then

settings > apps > menu > size > tap on top apps and clear cache

restart your phone

if that doesn't work you can repair it with SUS, but Uninstall any of the following apps and do NOT re-install them

taskillers

task managers

antivirus

ram apps

battery apps

booster apps

cache apps

cleaning apps

Update Service (SUS)

PC Companion (PCC)

Bridge (for Mac)

How do you know that there are 2,500 pictures?

I have counted all pictures and videos which are there in 'ALBUM'. The count is 3700.

Are you certain that you are not counting thumbnails?

try this

settings > apps > all > album > clear data > restart your phone > check again

also you can manually delete the thumbnails folder with a file manager
