Facebook Application Icon Notifications

Has anyone got the latest version of Facebook for Android noticed that new notifications aren't showing as a small number on the Facebook icon itself?

Sorry if ive posted previously but unable to find it if I have.

I've been getting updates everyday (facebook), but I can recreate this, I hope facebook address this.

I have reported this bug to Facebook a couple of days ago and the report has been received by them, so hopefully Facebook will fix this bug that is related to the z1c at least.

Update to Facebook, unfortunately still no numbers showing on icon for new notifications.

They know of the issue as I've reported it to them so I thought this latest update might have fixed it for z1c users but certainly not for me.

@uliwooly are you still experiencing the same issue?

This seems to be affecting certain phones as it is working fine on Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 but not on Sony Xperia Z1C, perhaps it's operating system related?

I have gone back to an earlier app version of Facebook that was updated around February this year, and after doing so I have noticed that the Facebook application icon is back to the size it was giving out the notification numbers, I have yet to report whether I have it working with relation to this issue, but will report back as soon as I have any more news.

Ok, I can report that the number notifications show correctly on the icon for Facebook app version 26.0.0.22.16.

It is possible that the version up from this works too, but I would have to test every archived version to be able to give an exhaustive list which would take sometime.

So this would indicate that the issue is with a certain update going forward on the Z1C that we know about, could be system related too, so anyone that would like to help if you could let us know which phone and system used and if you could say if you too experience the thread issue.

I have the same issue on a Xperia Z2. My Facebook version is 39.0.0.36.238.

Hi all could you please advise when I get the above on the android app I get the led flash and sound but why don't I get the red number message on my screen in the Facebook icon Sony which I love are the only phone I have found that I can't get it on and don't know why I've tried everything to no avail please HELP
