Downloading to an SD Card

hi,

i need some help, i puchased an SD for my phone and want to download movies to it through the Flixster app. i've gone into the settings on the App and selected the SD Card as the download location but every time i go to download a movies it tells me the SD card is not supported on the device and i can change this in the settings. so i go into the settings on the phone and there's no where for me to able to change this, i've tried transfering data to the SD card and then retried download but it still hasnt worked,

im in need of some help because i feel like throughing the phone out the window :-S

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

There's no setting for this in the phone. The app must support writing to the external SD under Android 4.4.

so does this mean its not available on Sony Models as its only listing Samsung Models?

on the settings on the App it lests me select the option to download to SD Card but the tells me to change the storage location is the settings on the phone,

As i understand their information, you can download to the external SD on any phone with Android 4.4 (such as Z2) as long as you're using version 6.0 or later of their app.

If you have a phone using Android 4.3 or earlier it only works on some Samsung models (which i think sounds a bit strange).
