The charging speed is usually 1%/min (0%~70%). According to Qualcomm, "In laboratory tests using a 3300mAh battery, a Quick Charge 2.0 enabled device went from 0% to 60% charge in 30 minutes". I am using the original cable and original UCH-10 quick charger. Any clues?
I have tried a certified qualcomm quick charge 2.0 adapter with cable on both Z5 and Z5c. On the Z5, the output amperage reached 2200 mA and on the compact 2000 mA (measured using an app called Ampere), which gave me an excellent charging time.
@Viridis Look at UCH10 specs on sony mobile. It says:
Mine is not from sony, the adapter, but at 5V is capable of 2400.
LE: Wanted to let you know that also when the phone heats up during charge the amperage is lowered (to about 1700, 1800) and when the battery is almost full charged it is reduced below 1300-1400.
"Which gave me an excellent charging time", can you please tell me your charging time? Mine obviously doesn't match the QC2.0 charging speed.
I didn't try it from 0% until 100%, but when I had about 35-36%, it estimated about 50 and some minutes until full. Of course, after 90% it does charge slower and the time might expand a little.
This is better than the EP880, which according to Ampere app, gave about 1100-1200 mA and charged the device slower.
Well the output depends on the adapter type. Can you read on the tronsmart adapter and check the output? Do you have an original charger too? If the device heats up, the amperage will be lowered.
This is with the stock charger that came with my Z5 premium. Roughly 1 hours(maybe a little over went from 20%ish to 93%. That's almost inline with my Note 5, and some of my other previous owned devices that has quick charging.
I think you have UCH20 with the premium, so that has an output of 1500 mA which is pretty good.
