Hi all,

My new D6633 (Z3 Dual) has a real problem using the flash in low light.

I seem to be getting light leakage onto the lens

I do have Ghost Armor protective film on tha back of the phone, though this has now been refitted 3 times and looks perfect to my eye.

I am attaching a pic of the camera lens, so that it can be compared to other Z3 handsets.

Also, is there any protective film over the lens and flash itself? I didn't remove any, but cant really tell whether anything is fitted.

Anyone got any thoughts/suggestions??

Hi,

I have sent my Z3 for repair because the front seal and back cover for the screen was loose and front and screen came out.

My mobile was underwarranty and when i sent it to COMTEL(UAE AUTHORIZED DEALER) they said that my front screen should be replaced because it was broken from inside although Im sure its not broken and I paid 800 AED for this.and the back cover was replaced under warranty.

Since i took my mobile back the camera was not ok,it took very bad pictures at night whenever the flash was used.I discovered that the back cover wasnt placed correctly and was loose.

I went to them again and they said it was their mistake and they forgot to install a sticker.They fixed it and the back cover seems ok but the camera still not ok.

Whenever i go to them they say that my mobile is ok and nothing in it and Im sure there is something wrong.Give me ur email and i will share the pictures i took at night with it.

There is something wrong with the flash or the back cover isnt closed correctly.

I hate COMTEL and the service manager there is like a bulger he doesnt want to help.Im raising a complaint against him to you to take a serious action against him.

I need my mobile to be fixed.and if you dont know how to fix you shoulf replace it!!!

I will not accept my camera like this.please take serious action.

I will raise also a complaint to consumer care against Comtel and against Sony if the problem wasnt solved.

The camera is made of very precise components. If any one of them goes out of place you have issues like the ones in this thread. Your camera modules are defective and you need to get them replaced at a service center. The back glass shouldn't transfer any light to the sensor considering the fact that the sensor itself is encased in metal, unless noticeably lifted up. From what I can tell all distortion in your samples comes from a defective sensor.

Like I suspected the back panel has risen, which means the flash light leaks into the sensor and burns the picture. Also, keep the phone away from water, as the IP rating has been compromised.

Is there something i can do? I live in south America and bought the phone in the us. I called sony the other day and they told me they don't have phone service here. The phone is faulty. Right?
