I have recently bought an Xperia Z3 phone and until today it worked OK. However this morning when I tried to make a phone call, the phone app opened briefly and then closed again. I tried the contacts app, which opened OK, but when I selected an entry it reported "Contacts closed".
The Support app was also Closed.
After I contacted the support web page (via my PC) I switched off the phone (hold down power button and 'Power off') and then switched it on again and this appears to have fixed the problem.
Is this a common situation? What is likely to have caused the problem?
The memory has approx. 9GB free.
