Cannot be heard during call unlees phone is held at odd angle

Hi I have recently received a Z1 Compact and this morning whilst trying to call people, noone could hear me, I called my landline and realised that I can just about be heard if I hold the phone's bottom towards my mouth. Any help?

Check your call settings and if enabled with a tick then untick Microphone noise suppression

Have tried this along with enhanced voice option too. No luck I'm afraid.
