Cancel SMS when sent - Sony Xperia Z1 Compact

Hello Everybody,

I did face a problem a few times now and I am really looking forward to know how to solve it.

How do you cancel the sending of a text message?

On my former phone it was easy, The option "cancel" appeared while the message was being sent, but now I have no clue how to do that. I tried immediately going on Airplane mode, then delete the message before going back to normal mode, but I have no clue if it really works or if it just deletes the message from my folder but still sends it to the recepient.

Did anyone find out how to solve this issue?

You can't delete messages after you press send, indeed, if you delete it, it will just delete it from your phone, the sms is sent a fraction of a second after you press send

Hi gus,

it is too bad to have this problem in what they called smart phone, specialy with SONY, I had this problem just as you had it, my first action was switchng to flight mode to stop messages from sending, then i return it to normal mode but this time i went to SETTINGS THEN MORE THEN DEFAULT SMS APP THEN I did sellect another program,, this helped me to pause the messages.

still I am waitng for SONY SUPPORT to help me with it.

otherwise i will start complain about it at any where 

hope SONY SUPPORT WILL find out some thing for me.

There is no problem here. The phone is behaiving just as it should. Messeges are meant to be sent/delivered almost instantaneously when you hit send.

If you are aware of a smart phone that doesn't behave in this manner please enlighten us.
