Bluetooth OBEX file transfer broken after Android 6.0 update

It appears that OBEX profile is completely missing in Android 6.0!! (Build number 32.1.A.1.163).

I checked on my old Xperia Z2 on Android 5.1 and it has it, but Z3+ after Android 6.0 update is missing it. (service discovery screenshot confirms it).

I often use bluetooth to transfer files to my PC or laptop or other phone. That is the simplest method and it is ridiculous for this to be messed up by the build. This should be fixed asap. $50 phones have this working! and it was working before!! Angry_Face

I'm sorry to hear that.

I've tested this here but for me it works fine so not sure what could cause this. I can both send and receive files between my Z5P and Z3+ on this firmware.

What happens if you try to send a file between your Z3+ and your Z2 using bluetooth? Note that for the phone to be discoverable, you need to go to Settings -> Bluetooth and have the display on.

The phones can be paired, but send and receive fails. Just get message filename Not Sent. And in notif area: 0 sent 1 unsuccessful. If I try again then it is 2 unsuccessful... The phones are made discoverable. My PC can see both phones and can send files to Z2. But not to Z3+ since the update to Android 6.0.
Interesting that it works for you. Maybe next firmware update will fix it, if I get one. Not sure what else to try apart from wiping the phone but that would take 3 days to reinstall and setup again. And this might not fix it anyway. Am not the only one who had that problem. Right here in talk.sonymobile is another complaint after Android 6.0 install saying Bluetooth not working. It is likely the same problem...Tried to get the syslog for more info but supposedly you must have root access to see that since Android 4.2 or something like that. Very useful. It can be bypassed using adb so will try to do that. Let me know if you have any suggestions in diagnosing / resolving this.
