But oher one reported is Unknown error occurred when trying to play film clip in Facebook...
Anyone have a solution for this problem?

I recommend that you first try to disable/uninstall Facebook from Settings -> Apps and then enable/update/install it again.
If that doesn't help, what version of Facebook do you have in your tablet? You can see this under Settings -> Apps -> Facebook.
According to https://www.facebook.com/FacebookAndroidBeta/posts/274743989375633 video playback should be fixed in 15.0.0.16.16 and later but looking at the comments it seems some users still have issues with this version.

I have the facebook app version 15.0.0.20.16. I tried all your suggestions but the error remains...
I don't have this problem with a xperia t and with a xperia z2 with the same app version.

Same problem here. The Facebook video stops for unknown reason. Latest FW, latest FB release and I see a lot of people complaining about it. I don't know why would reinstalling the app solve the problem - video plays ok on other android devices. But I think we all have done that, incl clearing the cache, data and so on.. My workaround now was resetting the tablet and making sure that the FB doesn't update. So the video starts playing in movie app and not in the native app. It is a frustration that the latest version of an app, that is used by 500000000+ ppl can't be used on an expensive device like this but I guess, (based on what I've read on this forums), SONY isn't going to put much effort into solving this problem. So if anyone has an advice, please help.

Sorry to hear that it didn't help. Not sure why this only helps for some users.
But this is not an issue that's specific for Tablet Z. I hear of this on other models as well like Z, Z1, and Z2 and checking the comments for the Facebook app, this also happens on other brands.
If you still have this issue after installing the latest version i recommend that you report it in the app. Take a screenshot (on/off and vol-) or the message and then go to menu tab and select Report a problem -> Something isn't working -> Videos. Attach the screenshot and describe the issue.
