Xperia XA Ultra F3216 is unable to recover the homescreen which is blank and only shows the wallpaper. I'm unable to make of the phone as ALL the applications and ALL the essential inputs in the phone including my contact book and phone log. Hence, I'm completely unable to make calls and use my apps. It's like my phone in in coma. This problem is prevalent since I turned off from the ULTRA STAMINA MODE to return my phone to normal.
Also, I can only RECEIVE notifications from apps and phone calls which will then help me open the respective application.
Recently, I had an issue with the audio which was fixed by CHANGING the motherboard in the service station (who apparently OPENED my phone which is a single piece and meddled with it. They said they will NOT open it, but they did) and my phone was returned back a few days ago.
I suspect there could be an issue with the motherboard again. This problem is very disappointing considering the fact that my phone is only 6 months old (got it in January 2017) and having A PLETHORA of problems to extent of changing the motherboard, which is shocking and saddening.
Kindly, suggest me a few solutions.
Probably the same issue as "After updating to nougat... my home became blank and if I press back button.", but you have better description in your subject. Factory reset returns the phone to normal for me. I called Sony Support and they are aware of this issue, but are still investigating. I'm luck that I have 2 XA Ultras and only updated the spare that I don't use.
I too have the same issue. Lets hope that sony will fix this problem as soon as possible
I had the same problem. The only temporaty "solution" that I found was switching to "guest user". Its on the right corner on the very top part. A blue icon. But is temporary
