Random Weirdness since 7.0 upgrade

Both my wife's and my daughters XA phones hare playing up since the 7.0 update.  The symptoms are as follows:
1) Screen randomly "vibrates" side to side and will not answer touch controls.  Stays this way until they manage to power off and restart the phone.

2) Phone randomly switches into Airplane mode.

3) Phone randomly turns on the flahslight.

The phones are the same model, purchased within a month of each other.  They worked fine until the update, which neither of them were happy with, as their ring tones and other sounds changed and they cannot restore the older default ones they were used to.

I need to know how to return these phones to their previous version, or when a new version is to be rolled out that will resolve these issues.  The phones are essentially unreliable for them, and both of them require them to be reliable for their work.

Any response Sony?

Right now, we will be ditching these and never returning to Sony again if this will not be acknowledged and a time frame for rectification advised.

The screen vibrates as in the graphics?

That sounds like something that may need either a software repair using Xperia Companion and if not sorted, a call or email to Local support

As I said, this is random.  It happens on occasion to two different phones.  Both are running the latest OTA deployment of Android 7.1.

This is a very bad upgrade.  It removed ALL of the original Sony notification sounds, which drove both my wife and daughter to distraction, having to chose from a raft of new and totally annoying sounds.

Coupled with the randomness in the screen glitch and failling to respond to touch screen and buttons, the randomness of putting the phone into airplane mode, and turning on the torch, it should be rolled back, or another update developed and released immediately.

I highly doubt that doing a software repair in Xperia Companion will fix this.  However, I will ask them to do as you suggest.

OK.
Finally got a chance to try this out.  Here are the results.

1) Software repair completely wipes the phone.  So I tried to do a backup.

2) Installed Xperia companion.  Went to do the backup, and it exhausted free space on my primary partition.

3) Tried to change the backup location in Xperia Companion.  YOU CAN'T!!!!  Stupid and lame program.

4) Got hold of an XA with a broken screen.  Updated it to the same level as my wife and daughters phones.  Left it running for days until it glitched.

5) Tried a software repair in Xperia companion.  Left it running.  Glitched.

So, that is now 3 XA phones that have glitched.

AND I cannot backup 2 of the because whoever designed Xperia Companion did not allow for people NOT having sufficient space on their C Drive partition to back up the internal storage.

Goodby Sony.  I used to be a fan, but now this stupidity is just too much.  I will never again recommend your phones to my family and friends.
