My New Sony Xa1 does NOT have Battery Care??

I got my Sony Xa1 from Amazon.ca sold by Sony themselves. For some reason I was not able to find BATTERY CARE anywhere (under settings>assist, under settings>sound, and under settings>battery). Also, under settings>accessibility I wasn't even able to find a setting that enables sound when my phone is fully charged. Why is this??

Hi. 

I think You are correct with what you've found, XA1 doesn't have battery care if I remember correctly, but does have QNOVO adaptive charging. 

Did you see Battery care advertised anywhere?

I've contacted SONY support and they said it was odd that my Xa1 did not come with this feature. However, I was able to find a video on how to enable Battery Care on the Xa1 in which I need to download an apk file. Do you think it is safe?

Hi @Kevindo8, welcome to the community.

According to the whitepaper for the XA1, it does not have Battery Care installed.

I can not comment on third party sources, sorry. To be safe, I cannot recommend you download unknown sources
