Hi @Mags48, welcome to our forum!

You can't remove Swiftkey completely, but you can download another keyboard and use that instead of Swiftkey if you want.

Go to Settings > Settings > System > Languages & input > On-screen keyboard > uncheck Swiftkey and make sure the other keyboard is activated.

I hope that helps!

Thanks Jonas,

.... Sorry but the only alternative keyboard available is the chinese...

I don't know why I should keep active a software which doesn't work as I would, doesn't make correct word prediction and, probably, does not respect your privacy...

Can we use the old keyboards as in previous android os?

Thanks,

Luigi

Hi again @Luigip01, sorry for the late reply, I have been out of office due to vacation.

You will need to download a different keyboard, as the pre-installed one is Swiftkey and the only Xperia keyboard version that is available in the device, is the Chinese version.

If you search for "keyboard" or similar in the Google Play store there should be plenty of different options to choose from, such as Gboard from Google. There may be other places where you can find the Xperia keyboard, but it's not available in the Google Play store.

I hope that helps!
