Xperia Tablet Z - not charging, serial number not working

Hi,

The charging port on my Xperia Tablet Z, purchased from Amazon in December 2013 is no longer working. I want to get a repair but my serial number does not seem to be accepted by the website. I have tried repeatedly, registered my product etc. and the serial number will just not work. Is there a way to resolve this without paying 35p per minute to be on hold?

Have you resolved the problem? I am having the same issue and service support are being less than helpful?!
