cant get ps store to work for sony tablet s

just got a sony tablet s and trying to use the ps store.

but everytime i click on the ps store it just takes me too the settings menu.

might be completely over looking something but am stuck, anyone know what im meant to do?

It could be that that PS Store currently have a problem. Try checking it after a few hours.

I have been having this problem persistantly for over a week and do wonder if it might be connected with downloading the Android update recently appearing as if by magic.   An error message "unfortunately, Google play store has stopped".   No further help is offered and I am awaiting a comment from Google.

ps store and google play are two different stores.

for the problem with google play:

go to settings / apps / installed: google play

clear the cache and data for this app

uninstall the updates for this app

reboot tablet

you now have the old Android Market App back

you can now update this app to google play again, and it will work
